A delightful day was spent last Saturday at the Crafty Fox Spring Market at the Dogstar Hotel in Brixton. I took the French & Godbold cards collection along in my trusty suitcase and set up shop. It was great day with a good number of sales and very encouraging feedback. Our tiny gift cards proved to be quite a hit. It was also a pleasure to spend my day sharing a stall with Mrs Gumi and her husband Tom, as well as chatting to lovely range of crafty artists. There was tea and cake, great atmosphere and visits from family and friends. A very pleasing day…

Christmas Exhibition

French & Godbold have just delivered a carousel of greetings cards, box sets and tiny gift tags to the Gravelly Barn Christmas Exhibition. The exhibition is open in Braughing, Hertfordshire, on the 25, 26, 27th November 2011 from 10.30am-4.30pm. Sadly French & Godbold are not able to attend in person as we will be snuggled down in a remote stone cottage on the Isle of Anglesey. Mmmm pleasing………
Pegboard Display
Our pegboard displays are looking lovely in their new white coats of paint. All ready for another day of trading at Old Spitalfields Market tomorrow. Pegboard is very pleasing in it’s combining of practicality and pattern. Our boards are going to look rather fetching with the red-tipped chrome hooks we have chosen. Come by to see us at the market if you are in East London.
Sunday Up Market
French & Godbold are off to market this Sunday 26th June. We will be setting up shop in London at the Old Truman Brewery Sunday Up Market in Brick Lane. Our stall will be on the upper level from 10am-5pm. Please drop by to see our range of lovely greetings and gift cards as well as some of our new creative endeavours. We look forward to seeing you there.
Reconnaissance
A busy time at F&G last week. At Progressive Greetings Live on Wednesday, we were inspired by the generosity of the traders in sharing their knowledge and experience of the greetings card industry. Thanks to Helen, Danny, Joanna and Alec for some great conversations. Since then, Richard has been out and about showing our portfolio, receiving positive feedback and some definite interest from local retailers. We spent Sunday walking the aisles of many London markets, looking for the one we liked the most for a regular F&G stall. Sunday Up Market in the Truman Brewery, Brick Lane is the winner. We had a great day with many beautiful things to see, delightful people to speak to and amazing food to sustain us along the way. Perfect.
